Delanson- Richard Carl Teschka Jr., 71, passed at 3:30pm on Friday, December 24, 2021. Born in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late Richard Carl Teschka Sr. and Yetive Eunice Playford Teschka. He was happily married to Lois Radzewicz Teschka for 41 years.

All those that knew Dick would agree he was a man of kindness, integrity and compassion.  He never boasted his achievements, let alone take credit for them.  He loved to help others in any way he could.  Many knew him as a gentle man with a big heart.

Dick worked at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady before moving to Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory as a Senior Draftsman. He worked there for over 40 years until his retirement, valuing his job and co-workers.

Dick loved woodworking and often used his AutoCAD skills to plan out projects with precision.  In fact, there wasn't much he *didn't* do without precision, from flying model airplanes to restoring classic cars, it had to be done right or not at all.  He enjoyed the family trips to Cape Cod and Pennsylvania.  He also loved spending time with his long-standing neighbors and friends.  He cherished his little Sunday/Wednesday church meeting, and was always grateful to know the Lord and be a part of His Family.

He is survived by his loving and patient wife, Lois, his children; Brian (Tracy) Teschka, Laura Teschka, and Amanda Teschka, his sisters, Sandy (Cliff) Dumas, and Dawn (Terry) Blanchard, as well as nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A memorial service will be live streamed on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10am. The Zoom information can be found below.
