GUILDERLAND — Nancy Gail (Laremore) Gerstenberger, 67, of Guilderland, passed away on October 7, 2026, after a courageous 34-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born on October 1, 1959, she was the daughter of the late William and Shirley (Busch) Laremore. Before her illness, Nancy was an avid runner who prioritized fitness and healthy living, buying organic food long before it was mainstream. She loved everything life and the outdoors had to offer, especially hiking, painting, horseback riding, and being near the water with her kids.
Above all, Nancy was a mom. Her children and their futures were everything to her, and her own struggles always took a back seat to them. Even as her condition deteriorated over the last two decades, she never took her frustrations out on others. She handled impossible circumstances with unmatched grace and a bright smile, making childhood a dream for her kids and giving them everything she had.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Deborah (Laremore) Osborne.
She is survived by her son, Jason Gerstenberger; her daughter, Diana Ceballos, and her husband, Matthew; her four cherished granddaughters, Amelia, Alexandra, Ana, and Sofia Ceballos; her sister, Barbara (Laremore) Carboni; her brother-in-law, John Osborne; and her nephews, William Laremore, Christopher Marciano, and Nicholas Marciano.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Baptist Nursing Home for their love and dedicated care.
Calling Hours will be held this Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike (Route 20), Guilderland, NY, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
