Catherine P. Walsh, 71, passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2026 at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Yonkers on December 11, 1954 to the late Timothy P. and Catherine Lavin Walsh. Catherine was raised in Garnerville, NY, and after graduating from North Rockland High School, she moved to East Berne, NY for 4 years and 20 years in Colonie, before settling in Rotterdam. She worked for 33yrs at NYS Dept. of Tax and Finance, retiring from Data Entry. Catherine loved reading and the NY Mets.
Catherine is survived by her siblings, Mary W. Dickson (David K.), Kevin P. Walsh, and Brian P. Walsh (Sherry); her niece, Gina Walsh; and her nephew, Ryan Walsh.
All services will be private. Those wishing to remember Catherine in a special way can make memorial donations to the ASPCA. Arrangements by DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
