Rotterdam – Marilyn Dolores Case, 86, passed away on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at Ellis Hospital. A lifelong area resident, Marilyn was born in Schenectady. She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lottie (Kliniecki) Miller. Marilyn enjoyed staying active, she would walk the mall almost daily, loved getting her hair done and chatting with friends and family and she took great joy in gardening and taking care of her yard. Marilyn and her late husband, John would often take long country rides in the car and go for bike rides together. She will be greatly missed. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, John W. Case Jr. and one brother, Curtis Miller. She is survived by her son, John W. Case III (Margaret), her sister, Joan Maddalone, and brothers, James M. Miller (Joanne) and John K. Miller (Roberta) as well as her 4 step-granddaughters and 1 special step-granddaughter, Michelle (James) and their sons, Ethan and Lucas and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 10am-12pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam with a funeral service beginning at 12pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
