Rotterdam, NY. Helen C. Farrington age 97, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was the loving daughter of her late parents Philip and Mary (Vitelli) DeLuke. She was born and educated in Duanesburg, moving to Rotterdam after she married. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Gerald Farrington Sr and her beloved son Gerald Jr. Helen was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Philip DeLuke Jr and sisters Phylis Brandoline, Doris Stoodley, Lucy Thomas and Alice Wiklund. She is survived by her sister MaryAnn O’Connor. Helen loved caring for her many flower gardens surrounding her home. She was an avid bowler and continued in two leagues into her eighties. She enjoyed organizing the year-end banquets. Helen was well known for her pies, making dozens during apple season and for any occasion. Helen also loved to host a party. She held many events at her home including small weddings, milestone birthdays and anniversaries and holidays. Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia (Farrington) Orologio and son-in-law Dominic (Skip) Orologio. She was a wonderfully caring grandmother and survived by her grandsons, Nick (Sandi Harari) Orologio, Ben (Brittany Wahrman) Orologio and Adam (Katie Korona) Orologio and great grandchildren Jake, Ethan, Toby, Margot and Abby She is also survived by her sister MaryAnn O’Connor. Calling hours will be held Friday April 11 from 10am to 12pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam. A noon service will immediately follow.
