Rotterdam – Terri Kaska Dufek, 52, of Rotterdam died at home on May 26th surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, Terri graduated from NDBG High School in 1983. Terri was predeceased by her father, Robert Kaska, Sr. and her in-laws Gloria and John Walsh; her grandparents Joseph & Eileen Kaska, Arthur & Florence Wickens. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Roger Dufek, two children; Renee and Brion, mother Linda Kaska, her brother Robert Kaska, Jr. and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins as well as many dear friends. Terri had an infectious smile that brightened the day for all. She gave endlessly to all who crossed her path; caring for children her entire life and loved them as her own. Terri had a great love of nature enjoying God’s earth particularly the beauty of Caribbean waters, sun rises and sun sets, butterflies and flowers. Terri’s hands were always busy creating beautiful birthday cakes, halloween costumes and alterations. Above all else, Terri cherished her family and somehow always found time to attend every baseball game and dance recital. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin 8:45 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd. Burial will be at St. Cyril’s Cemetery at a later date. At Terri’s request, memorial contributions can be made to Kelly’s Angels, Inc., PO Box 2034, Wilton, NY 12831. Kelly’s Angels is an organization who provides “Fun Grants” to children who have lost a parent or sibling to cancer.
