Summerfield, FL – Heaven received a very special angel when on January 10th, 2018 Rose (Antalek) Jorgensen passed away following a sudden illness. She was 77. She was born in Schenectady, NY on August 4, 1940. On October 2nd, 1965 she was united in marriage to John Jorgensen. They raised 5 children together. She is predeceased by her daughter, Tina Jorgensen, her parents, Frank Antalek and Wilhelmina (Pendt) Antalek and her sister, Ella Mae Borogen. Rose is survived by her husband, John Jorgensen, her brother, Frank (Diana) Antalek, sons, Kenneth (Bonnie) Jorgensen and Keith Jorgensen, her daughters, Karen (Ray) Davis and Lynne (Adam) Sassi. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Kenneth, Anneliese, Heather, Joshua and Katelynn and 4 great grandchildren as well as a large, loving extended family. Those who knew Rose best knew that she was a kind, caring and generous person. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, 7:45 am from the funeral home, followed at 9 am by a Mass of Chriatian Burial at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd, in Glenville. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Rose’s name to the Salvation Army, 168 Lafayette St. Schenectady, NY 12305.
