Mark S Stanton

Mark Stephen Stanton, loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Monday May 23, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on September 15, 1948 in Schenectady, NY. Mark worked at the Schenectady County Highway Department for many years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and a proud member of the Rotterdam Eagles Club where he made many long friends and he was known as "Stickman." Mark was predeceased by his father, Richard Glenn Stanton of Schenectady. Survivors include his wife, Dina of 41 years, two daughters; Trisha Stanton-Roth, and Amy Crockford (Daniel), his sister; Marcia Elacqua (Joseph), niece; Nicole Elacqua and nephew; Steven McCabe, his brother; Gary Stanton, his mother; Jean St. John Stanton and grandchildren; Shauna and Brianna Roth and Dylan and Noah Crockford. Mark was a devoted grandfather, his love and support of his family was selfless and leaves a legacy that will endure. Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the DeMarco and Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam.
