Rotterdam – Ivan F. Dutcher, affectionately known as Dutch, 78, went home to be with the Lord, with his loving family by his side on December 10th, 2017. Dutch was born to Ivan and Helen Dutcher on March 2, 1939 in Schenectady, NY. He was a 1957 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Before retiring, Dutch worked for over 47 years as a meat cutter for Grand Union Markets. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in West Fulton and his trips to Florida. Dutch loved his family and was very friendly to all he came in contact with. He was predeceased by his parents as well as one sister, Jeanette Strope. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Ann (Weekes) Dutcher, his cherished children, a daughter Debbie Ebert (Ralph), a son David Dutcher and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Anna Ebert, or as he called her, his Little Darlin. A sister-in-law Lucille DeMassio, a brother-in-law James Weekes (Jenny), a bother-in-law Ray Weekes, a special cousin Laura Murray (Doug) and many other relatives and good friends. A visitation will be held at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam on Friday, December 15th from 10am to 12pm. Funeral services will begin at 12noon at the funeral home and will be followed by burial at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
