Rotterdam – Grace D. Liscio, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11th, 2019. Grace was born in LeRoy, NY to her parents, the late Salvatore and Lena Fili. Educated in LeRoy, Grace went on to earn her associate’s degree from Mohawk Valley Technical Institute. She married her dear husband Pat in 1959 and together they owned and operated Hollywood Cleaners in Bellevue and Mr. Discount Wine and Liquor in Rotterdam. Grace was a longtime member of St. Gabriel’s Church. In Grace’s spare time, she enjoyed her role as homemaker. She was an excellent cook, excelling in her Italian specialties. Her true happy place, if not cooking for her family, was on the golf course. She was a member of several leagues at Stadium Golf Course, often getting her name in the newspaper. Grace leaves behind her devoted husband, Pat D. Liscio, loving sons, Keith P. Liscio (Jan) and Steven A. Liscio, her dear grandchildren, Patrick Liscio and Juliana Liscio, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Grace was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Salvatore and Genevieve Fili. Grace’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Rocco Liscio, Terri S. Liscio, Loretta Barbier and Jenny Weekes for their loving support throughout Grace’s illness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 15th from 5 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:30am at the funeral home and will be followed by a mass which will be celebrated at 10am at St. Gabriel’s Church, Hamburg St. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
