Catherine Marie Polimeni

Schenectady-Mrs. Catherine Marie Polimeni, age 89, a lifelong Schenectady resident, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 31, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 25, 1933, daughter of the late Armand and Mabel (Burleigh) Roberts and educated in Schenectady schools. She was united in marriage with John Joseph Polimeni on June 20, 1953, a blessed union of 60 years until the passing of Mr. Polimeni on June 21, 2013. She spent her life taking care of her family and home. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crafting. Survivors include four children, Joanne Polimeni, Glen Polimeni, Elizabeth Polimeni, and John M. Polimeni (Rose Morris) all of Schenectady; two siblings, Winifred Jankowski of CA and George Roberts (Cindy) also of CA; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Catherine’s life will commence at 11 am at the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6512 Western Turnpike, Duanesburg with the Rev. Anthony Gorsuch, Pastor, officiating on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am in the church.
