Schenectady - Carole Yezzo, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, Carole was the daughter of the late William Ransom and Orpha Yager. She attended Nott Terrace High School. After raising her family, Carole went to work as a Payroll Clerk at Sunmark Credit Union in Schenectady until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed going to the casinos and most of all Carole enjoyed spending time with her entire family especially at Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. Her kids and grandkids were her world. She was proud of each one of them and their accomplishments whether it was education, sports, work or personal. She was their biggest supporter. In addition to her parents, Carole was also predeceased by her siblings, Charlotte Shannon Gallo, William Ransom, Shirley Burdick and David Ransom. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John Yezzo, her children; Michael (Leslie) Yezzo of Glenville, Anthony Yezzo of Schenectady, Steven Yezzo of Glenville and Gina (Steven) Mannato of Rotterdam, her cherished grandchildren; Leah (Pat), Dana (Eric), Anthony Jr. (Shelby), Angela, Sabrina, Carly, Matthew and Eric and her great grandson, Dante. She is also survived by her step-sister, Elaine Hyson, sister-in-law June Ransom and several nieces and nephews. Carole will be dearly missed by her husband John, her entire family and by all. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning at 9:30 am at the funeral home. COVID-19 guidelines will be observed at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
