Yvonne I (Grande) Gallagher

Schenectady - Yvonne I. Gallagher, 86, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of Carl and Edith Suits Grande. Yvonne was a homemaker whose life revolved around her grandchildren, great grandchildren, crocheting and her best friend Petie. Her husband, Thomas F. Gallagher Sr., died in 1987. Yvonne is survived by her two children; Carla Ann Juron and Thomas F. (Gizelle) Gallagher Jr. Four grandchildren; Christopher, Laura, Adam and Jenna and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carla Ann Weidaw along with several nieces and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by her sister, Ann Bakowski. The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff of H2 & S2 at Baptist Retirement Center in Scotia and the Critical Care Unit at Ellis Hospital. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
