Guilderland- William J. "Bill" Keeler, 79, at rest Friday June 6, 2014. Bill was born in Brooklyn, the son of the late William G. and Dorothy (Hibbits) Keeler.He was a graduate of St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont, receiving a B.A. in English Literature. Bill resided in New Jersey before calling Guilderland his home in 1997.He was employed as a Media Group Supervisor with Young and Rubican on Madison Avenue, New York City, retiring in 1994. Bill was a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church and assisted as a volunteer at the Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy. Bill leaves behind, several nieces and nephews, three children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sisters; Dorothy Cannon, Theresa McCord, Joan McGrath and Betty Ann Farrington. Calling hours will be held Monday,June 9 from4 to 6pm at Guilderland'sDeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd. (Rt. 20) immediately followed at 6pm by a funeral service. Bill's burial will be at a later date.
