William F Hunt

Glenville - William F. Hunt, 76 of Glenwyck Apartments, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Joan Nicole Prince Home with his family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the natural born son of Helen VanBuren and raised by John and Ida Hunt. Bill was educated in the Schenectady and Rotterdam Schools. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959 and received and honorable discharge in 1964. Bill was married to Donna Smith for 32 years until their marriage ended. She passed away in 2005. After the end of his marriage he met his long time companion Kathleen Aunkst whom he was withfor the past 20 years. Bill is survived by Kathleen, his four daughters Melissa (Dan) Flanagan of Saratoga, Heather (Thomas) Cashen of Toledo Ohio, Devan Mayweather of Philadelphia PA and Sherry Russell of Troy. He is survived by 6 grandchildren Neala, Calea, Quwabe, James, Sophia and Lindsey his two brothers Robert (Louise) Hunt of Ohio and Christopher (Karen) Hunt of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. Family and friendsare invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Friday June 3, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm.
