William G Dwojakowski

Rotterdam - William G. “Bill” Dwojakowski, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 17th, 2023 at Albany Medical Center, following an extended illness. Despite his condition, he never lost his sense of humor. He had the love and support of his family by his side at the time of his passing. He was born on May 27th, 1956 in Schenectady, son of the late Walter and Laura (Winney) Dwojakowski and graduated with Mohonasen High School’s “Class of 1974”. He was united in marriage with Janalee E. Langer in October of 1996 in Schenectady; a loving relationship of 26 years. Bill loved his family, baseball, and woodworking. His most treasured and blessed times were spent as a husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He was a longtime band member and sound engineer with “Hands of Time” alongside his lifelong best friend, John Parravani. He loved visiting the beach with his wife and family. It was his goal to visit all the MLB stadiums and Hard Rock Cafes in the continental U.S. His family will visit the remaining places he was unable to get to in his lifetime. He will be missed by his devoted family; his wife, Janalee, at home; two daughters, Mandy Dwojakowski and Jamie Dwojakowski, both of Schenectady; close siblings, Lolaanne Dwojakowski of Schenectady, Janice Layer and husband Jack of Endicott, and Carolyn Krajewski and husband Mark of Schenectady; adored grandchildren, Kristine Earley and fiancé Stephen Garney, Justin Cooper, Charlie Mott and Skylar Mott; nephews, Travis Yerkey, Matthew Yerkey and wife Tiffany Yerkey; many cousins, friends, and his adored cats and granddogs along with many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson, Raiden Mott in 2020. Bill’s funeral will commence at 2pm on Friday, January 20th, 2023 from DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home (1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, NY 12306; 518-355-5770), officiated by Pastor Robert Wilkie of Plymouth Church of Walton, NY. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 12 pm-2 pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
