Pattersonville, NY. William H. Clark, Sr. age 87 passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Onalova (Wheeler) Clark. William is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen (Markel) Clark, three children, William H. Clark, Jr. & (Terri Clark), Kurt Clark & (Rosalie Clark) and Jodi Decker & (Alan Decker). One brother, Joseph Clark along with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive along with, several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by brother Clifford Clark, sister Shirley Granderath. Bill grew up in Dover Plains, NY moving around working on horse farms throughout the Capital Region. He spent many years at Frosty Acres caring for horses and competing in rodeos and horse shows. William was an entertaining rodeo clown as well as a professional graduate of the Electric City Clown College as “Homer” the clown. He also worked at NYS Highway Department and NYS Canal System. He worked at General Electric as a burner and crane operator and was a bus driver for Schalmont Central Schools. In 1962 William started P&D Waste in Mariaville, NY. A growing family business operated with family for 33 years until 1995. Upon retirement he spent many winters in Nokomis, FL with his wife enjoying his time with friends across the country. William was a skilled craftsman of leather work and wood carving. He was a member of Mohawk Valley Art & Wood Carving Association. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10am-2pm at the Demarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A Funeral service will be held at 2pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to take place at the Woestina Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
