William C Carney

Rotterdam- William “Bill” C. Carney, 75, passed away on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 at St. Peter's Hospital unrelated to Covid. Bill was born in Schenectady to his parents, the late William Carney and Pauline (Poteralski) Carney. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Mohonasen High School until enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Bill was a people person and he enjoyed golf, bowling at Towne Bowling Alley, watching football and cruises along the Caribbean. Bill was a talented artist who was especially good at drawing. People have enjoyed his artisticworks under his signature 'Bogie'. He is survived by his children, Shannon Enders (Jerry), Shawn Carney (Kelly) and Kyle Carney (Louise); his former wife and friend, Joann Carney and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob Carney (Rosemarie), Rit Carney (Cathy) and Cindy Schlegal (Jim) as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Kathleen Cuomo. There will be no services for Bill.
