Schenectady - William F. Bosy Sr., 90, of Schenectady, passed away Friday November 29, 2013 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Zachary and Katherine Belczyk Bosy. A graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School, Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the personal cook for Lt. General Crittenberger and his family. Following his active duty he was a member of the Air National Guard. He then went on to work for General Electric Co. in Schenectady as a steam turbine winder retiring in 1984 after 43 years of service. Bill loved his job and enjoyed the international travel for work. He was a member of the GE ¼ century club. Following his retirement he was co-owner of the Harbor House Fish Fry in Clifton Park. Bill also enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church. His wife of 59 years, Pierrette Bosy, passed away on March 2, 2012. He is survived by his three children; Michelle Putorti of Rotterdam, William F. Bosy and his wife Kathleen of Lake George and Robert P. Bosy and his companion Karen Brunner of Glenville. His two grandchildren; Monique Putorti of Rotterdam and William Hunter Bosy of Lake George. Bill is also survived by his sister, Genevieve Marsh of Scotia. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley R. Bosy and Joseph C. Bosy. Family and friends are invited to call at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Tuesday December 3, 2013 from 9-11 am. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am.
