William "Bill" Bord

GUILDERLAND- William (Bill) Bord, 87 beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Bill was born in Rome, NY on May 15, 1937 and was the son of the late Richard George and Rhuma (Leaf) Bord.

Bill graduated from Flemington High School in Flemington, NJ, class of 1956. He joined the US Air Force serving as a mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1960.

He was happily married to his wife of 63 years, Donna Dilillo and together they had three children. Douglas William and Christopher Michael Bord of Guilderland and the late Pamela. He was grandfather of Christopher of Hawaii, Nicholas William of Philadelphia, PA, and Morgan Warnet of Easton, PA; uncle of James Metz of Milford, NJ and many other nieces and nephews.

Bill worked for many years serving as a Safety Director in the construction industry. Never having a job he didn’t like.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on November 9, 2024 in St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carmen Road Guilderland. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Bill’s family prior to his Mass in the gathering area of the church from 10 am to 11. In lieu of flowers those who wish may send memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association 7 Washington Square Suite 102 Albany NY 12205 or a charity of your choice.
