Wesley Dutch Seaburg

Guilderland- Wesley ‘ Dutch” R. Seaburg, 66, of Edgewood Street, passed away peacefully at home on February 12 ,2017surrounded by his loving family. He was born In Albany NY a son of the Late Wendell and Arla Voorman Seaburg. He was a 1969 graduate of Ravena- Coyeman Selkirk Schools. Dutch married his beloved wife Lynn Ganance on August 6 ,1983. For many years until his retirement Dutch was employed with the Albany County Department of Public Works in various positions. He also worked as a line cook for Town and Country of Guilderland. For many years he coached bowling at Town and Country, softball for the local American Legion and his daughter’s baseball, softball and bowling leagues. And was an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. Dutch was a firefighter for the Guilderland Fire Dept and a member of the Guilderland Elks # 2480. He also enjoyed taking cruises with his family, enjoyed Walt Disney World, Cape Cod and Hawaii. Dutch is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Lynn, his daughter Hillary and her significant other Allan Proskin Jr, his brothers Wendell (Martha ) Seaburg, Daniel Seaburg and his significant other Mary Brady and James (Darlene) Seaburg Brother in law and sister in law Vincent and Michelle Ganance his sister in law Tammy Seaburg his in laws Vincent and Joan Ganance and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Norval and Jason Seaburg. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at Guilderland’s DeMarco Stone 5216 Western Turnpike Guilderland on Friday February 17, 2017 from 5 pm to 7pm. immediately following funeral services will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations may be made the Food Pantry of Guilderland.
