Rotterdam Junction – Walter A. Cituk, 81, passed away Tuesday November 25, 2025. Born in Schenectady he was the son of Alexander and Mary (Krajewski) Cituk. Walter graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1962 where he excelled in track.
Walter worked as a computer analyst at the General Electric Co. for many years and then went on to work for Bank of America in the same capacity before retiring.
He enjoyed bowling and was an avid outdoorsman. Walter was a former board member and lifetime member of the Iroquois Rod & Gun Club.
His wife Janice of 48 years passed away in 2012.
He is survived by his two sons Stephen (Jacquie) Cituk and Paul (Phyllis) Cituk,
His brother Richard Cituk.
Two sisters Paula (Dennis) Veteramo and Donna (Michael) Imfeld.
His four grandchildren Thomas, Alex, Claire and Stephen.
Walter is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday December 4th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. An 11am mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Church of St. Adalbert 550 Lansing St., Schenectady.
Burial will follow at St. Adalbert’s cemetery.
