Virginia Ferraro

Rotterdam - Virginia Ferraro of O’Brien Ave., Rotterdam, passed away with her family by her side, on Wednesday, July, 26, 2023 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late James Sr. and Angela Rinaldi.

She worked for Schenectady County Department of Social Services.

Virginia’s family was very special to her and she was a very loving mother to two children.  She enjoyed reading her mystery novels, watching true crime shows and crossword puzzles.

She was predeceased by her brother James Rinaldi Jr. and her beloved dogs Chelsea and Bridget, whom she loved dearly.

Virginia was the loving mother of Jeffrey Dormond of Rotterdam and James (Suzannah) Dormond of Rotterdam.  She was also survived by her estranged husband Edward of four years, her brother David Rinaldi along with two nephews and several cousins.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Demarco Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectday, NY. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
