Vincent N. Vardine, 67, of Schenectady, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Born in Miami, Florida, Vincent was the son of the of the late Vincent M. Vardine and Nikki Iarossi. He graduated from South Broward High School in 1974 and moved to Schenectady in 1979. For many years Vincent owned and operated Top Grade Carpet in Rotterdam. He was an avid powerlifter, and was a member of the APA (American Powerlifting Association). He was also elected to the Powerlifting Hall of Fame. He held several world records and was ranked #3 in the world. Vincent was also an avid NY Giants fan and loved boating when he was at his camp on Saratoga Lake. In addition to his parents, Vincent was also predeceased by his daughter Angelina Marie Vardine, who died in 2016 and his brother Brock Critchett. Vincent is survived by his fiancé, Jamie L. Haney, his former wife of 36 years, Pam Vardine, two daughters, Nicolina Vardine of Rotterdam, and Giovanna Vardine of Lake George, his siblings, John Vardine of Scotia, Lauren White of Rotterdam, Vonnie McAuliffe (Neil) of Clifton Park, Christina Horton (Benjamin)of Idaho, Alexandra Downey (Shawn) of TN., Vikki Critchett of Fla., and Charles Critchett of Bellevue, Fla., Three Grandchildren, Avianna Santilli, Vincenzo Zammiello and Mia Barnett as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 8 pm.
