Amsterdam – Vincent Salluzzo, 75, passed away on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at The Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Gloversville, Vincent was the son of the late Gaetano and Rosalia (Ragusa) Salluzzo. Vincent loved horses, golf, the game of poker and a big cup of coffee. In his earlier years he was a football coach at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School. He was a dad to everyone and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Vincent leaves behind his children, Shenel Salluzzo, Michael Salluzzo, Michele Patterson (Craig), Mark Salluzzo, and Katie Leiberman, his sister, Rose Famiano and his brother, Frank Salluzzo (Carole). He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, his K-9 companion, Bailey and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 10:30-11:30am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., in Rotterdam with a funeral service beginning at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent’s name can be made to Homeward Bound Dog Rescue, 202 Front Street, Schenectady, NY 12305.
