Vincent B Mctighe

March 25, 1950 — October 27, 2016

Rotterdam -Vincent B. McTighe died peacefully at Ellis Hospital on October 27, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Rockville Centre, he was the son of Vincent E. and Margaret (Buchheit) McTighe. Vince attended Arch Bishop Malloy High School in NYC, West Hempstead High School and graduated from Franklin Central School. He was employed by Price Chopper and The Mohawk Golf Club. Devoted to his family, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet (Nickerson), his son Eric, his daughter Kyra (Brian Grimsley) and his two precious grandchildren, Ethan and Claire McTighe. Vince is also survived by his siblings Maureen Ruissi (Hippy Joe), Dennis (Robin), Kevin and Midge Bonker (Gary). Vince was an avid sports fan whether watching his kids, grandkids, the Yankees or the Giants. He was also an avid golf enthusiast whether watching or playing and would like to thank his buddies for making those last few rounds of golf possible. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, October 30th from 3pm to 5pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Schenectady. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the Ellis Hospital and Hospice Care Team at Ellis for all of their care and support during Vince’s illness. A special thanks to our backup care givers at Duke, Judy and Alan. We couldn’t have done it without you.
