Schenectady – Vincent Paul Luccitelli, 90, passed away at home on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Born in Schenectady on July 19, 1928, Vince was the son of the late Ottavio and Angelina (Riscitto) Luccitelli. He attended Nott Terrace High School and then served our country in the United States Navy during World War II being deployed in the European Theatre. He then worked 20 years as a firefighter for the City of Schenectady before retiring. Vince was an excellent cook and gardener. He also loved to travel and was an avid golfer. His wife, Eva Ann Penta Luccitelli whom he married on June 24, 1951 passed away on January 15, 1997. He is survived by his daughter, Paula (Tom) Marotta, his son, Vincent (Maryann) Luccitelli, 3 grandchildren; Dennis (Teerna) Marotta, Michael Luccitelli and Amy (Andrew) Moynihan and his sister, Cecelia Andi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents Vince was predeceased by his sister, Madeline (Frank) Buonagurio. Calling hours will be held Monday from 10am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Memorial remarks will begin at 11:30am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady. Arrangements are by RJ DeLuccia Funeral Service.
