Rotterdam- Victor "Vic" Fazio Jr., 63, passed away on Friday October 25, 2013, from a brief medical condition. Victor was the son of the late Victor and Dolores (Dominick) Fazio.He lived most of his life in Rotterdam and was a graduate of Mohonasen High School after which he immediately joined the Army. He later spent 35 years employed as a welder with Woozie Enterprises and the past 13 years as a self employed welder. Vic was an avid sportsman. On Vic's best days you would find him fishing on his boat or hunting game with his son, brother, and his closest buddies. For many years, Vic and his brother Rich looked forward to volunteering at Draper Middle School's Annual Career Day. Vic's survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years Melody (Marchesani) Fazio; beloved children, Christina Fazio and Victor III (Maddalena); his sister Angela; his brother and best friend Richard aka "Woody" (Cheri). Vic is also survived bynumerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Vic developed many memorable friendships over his life time. He was a giving person, a knowledgeable person who was happy to selflessly share his knowledge with all his friends and family. Vic's legacy will continue on by those whose lives he touched! Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 29, from 4 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. Military honors will be conducted at 7pm.A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30am at the funeral home, the Rev. James Bookhout officiating. Vic's burialwill follow in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
