Tomasa Hernandez

Rotterdam- Tomasa Hernandez, 81, at rest Friday March 28, 2014. Tomasa was born on February 1, 1933 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Tomas and Faviana Nieves Roldan. She lived in Puerto Rico for many years until moving to New York City with her husband Francisco and eventually settling in Schenectady where she raised her family. Tomasa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and Francisco were looking forward to celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 27th of this year. When not doting over her family she enjoyed sewing and watching her Spanish soap operas. Tomasa is survived by her husband, Francisco ; her children, Frank (Mary) Hernandez, Roberto (Freda) Hernandez; all of Rotterdam; her grandchildren,Rico (Krista) Fiore, Kathleen (Clarence) Davis, Roberto Hernandez Jr., Anthony Hernandez, Anthony Boilard, Aubrey (Carl) Stephens ; great grandchildren, Macie and Jace Fiore, Alyssa and Lea Davis, Kaitlyn, Robert and Isabella Hernandez; her siblings, Lilla, Manuel and Pedro Roldan.Tomasa is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She is predeceased by her parents, her beloved daughter, Nilda Fiore and numerous brothers and sisters. There will be no calling hours for Tomasa. She will be buried in St. Cyril Cemetery, Rotterdam.
