Rotterdam - Todd M. Langley, 69, of Rotterdam, entered into eternal rest with his wife by his side on August 26, 2023 at St Peter’s Hospital. He is now reunited with his beloved son Patrick.
Born in Edenton, NC on December 30, 1953 to the late Graham and Margaret Jane (McMahon) Langley, Todd grew up in East Greenbush, NY. He was predeceased by his beloved son Patrick, godson Jason Eliseo, and father-in-law Patrick Eliseo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Joanne Eliseo Langley, of Schenectady; sister Heidi Langley of East Greenbush; aunt Doris (Don) Colabelli of East Greenbush; aunt Therese Langley-Iorio of Waterloo, IL; mother-in-law Jean Eliseo of Schenectady; brother-in-law Michael Eliseo and sister-in-law Denise Eliseo of Evans, GA; niece Jennifer (Brien) Cardinal of Martinez, GA; nephew Jared (Erin) Eliseo of Marietta, GA; great nieces and nephews as well as many cousins and a multitude of friends.
Todd was a 1972 graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush and studied business and criminal justice at Hudson Valley Community College. He started work in construction at the age of 16 and eventually started his own aluminum siding company, Langley Aluminum. He worked as a manager for Pizza Hut in East Greenbush, Queensbury, and Florida. Later, he held managerial positions at local car dealerships (Schenectady Plymouth, Alan Buick, Smith Pontiac). Todd spent 25 years with Morris Ford in Burnt Hills as Parts Manager and later Parts & Service Manager. He retired in 2018.
Todd will be remembered as a man of integrity and faith whose generous heart touched the lives of many. He had a passion for making bread and cooking with his wife Joanne. Todd looked forward every year to his vacation in Ogunquit and indulging in all the fresh lobster he could eat. He was quite a handyman, frequently helping friends and family with house projects. Everyone knew Todd would have the tools for the job, and, in most cases, he had two of them!
Todd was a member of the Rotterdam Knights of Columbus #5703 where he was Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree, and Color Guard member. He then became a member of the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus #3394 where he became an Honorary member and Fourth Degree Council #1654 of Schenectady, Ancient Order of Hibernians Schenectady JFK Div 1, Order of the Sons of Italy #321, and Schenectady Veterans of WWII.
The family would like to thank Todd’s medical team at St Peter’s Hospital.
