Rotterdam Junction - Thomas Frederic Sinkora, age 26, died suddenly on Sunday, December 29th, 2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was born in Niskayuna, NY on April 11th, 1993 to Thomas James and Jeanette Joan (Strnisa) Sinkora. He is a 2011 graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady and a 2015 graduate of Loudonville’s Siena College. At Siena he obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology and began developing his passion for various modes of art and media production. He was an avid videographer, photographer, podcaster, animator, and editor. These skills prepared him for a budding and cherished career with WTEN as a photographer and editor. He took great joy in gaming, music, film, comics, cartoons, a hearty debate about any of the aforementioned topics, endlessly deep conversation, and the warm company of his friends and family. His unrelenting passion to share what he loved with others brought everyone around him closer. His magnetism and affability will live on beyond him in the hearts and memories of all those he’s touched in his life, however longstanding or brief the contact. Thomas was preceded by his grandfather Edward Sinkora. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Jeanette Sinkora; his brothers, Michael and Benjamin Sinkora; his grandparents, Frederic and Diana Strnisa; his grandmother, Stella Sinkora; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those that shared in the joy of Tom’s life are invited for a wake on Sunday, January 5th from 2-5pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, located at 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY 12306. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 6th at 1pm in St. Luke’s Church, located at 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304.
