Tom was born on July 4th, 1946 in Ballston Lake, son of the late Frank and Helen Nick.  He was educated in Burnt Hills schools and a member of the 1964 graduating class, later attending SUNY Schenectady and earning a degree in nursing.  Tom possessed lifelong passion for the great outdoors, wildlife, Native American history & culture, and sports, in addition to being an auto enthusiast. He spent much of his youth outdoors - exploring, fishing, riding motorcycles, and playing baseball whenever possible.  He also participated in many bowling leagues, where he was known to bowl a few perfect games. While raising his sons, Tom had coached their little league baseball teams and was highly supportive of their hobbies and interests.  In 2001, Tom was united in marriage with Susan Petrucci, at their home, fully embracing her family. He was a faithful member of the West Glenville Reformed Church, and cared deeply for the community. Tom recently retired after serving the medical field for over 30 years. He was a devoted Christian and family man who will be remembered for his simple nature and selfless heart of gold.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Susan; two sons, Jeffrey (Jamie) Nick and Jason (Francesca) Nick; four stepchildren, Joseph Petrucci, Ramona Petrucci, Gina Boilard, Jason Petrucci; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six nephews; sister, Cindy (Michael) Hull and his faithful feline, Sacha.  In addition to his parents, Frank and Helen Nick, he was preceded in death by sister, Debbie Milsop and brother, Paul Nick.
