Thomas P. Myers, 82, of Guilderland, NY died peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Monday, November 5, 2018. Tom was born and educated in the Albany area and served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #83 until his retirement in 1996. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and bird watcher who greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved gardening, cooking, and football on Sundays. He was devoted to his six grandchildren and cherished time with them above all else. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hendrickson) Myers of Guilderland, NY; his daughter, Leah (Todd) Kedik of Altamont, NY; his son, Thomas (Jeanne) Myers of Albany, NY; his six grandchildren Abigail, Andrew, Amelia, Adam, Cecilia and Claire. Also, his sister Mary Ellen DiTonno and sister-in-law Beatrice Myers. He was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Cecilia Myers; four brothers, Cornelius, Arthur, Ronald, and Douglas Myers, and one sister June Paley. Special thanks to the staff at Ellis Hospital for the care provided to him. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
