Thomas R Mcauliffe Iii

Thomas R. McAuliffe III, 57, of Rotterdam, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 8, 2017. Thomas was born in Niskayuna, NY, the son of the late Thomas and Maryann Bond McAuliffe Jr. He grew up in Scotia and graduated from Scotia- Glenville High School in 1979. Thomas worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for 20 years with the Anderson Group in Colonie and for the last 10 years in the same capacity for the Scotia-Glenville School District. He was a member of the Parkside YMCA in Glenville and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Thomas was also an avid fan of stock car racing at the Fonda Speedway and worked on the pit crew for cousin. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, April Feidner McAuliffe, his brother; Patrick McAuliffe of West Charlton, nieces and nephews; Derek Burgess, Brittany Zampella, Joey Feidner and Zachary McAuliffe. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Friday, 10 am at the funeral home.
