Thomas Dorazio, Jr.

SCHENECTADY- Thomas Dorazio, Jr. 94, passed away at home on Thursday April 27, 2023 after a brief illness.

Born in Schenectady he was the son of the late Thomas and Lucia (Battaglia) Dorazio. Thomas graduated from Draper High School, Albany Business School and after returning from his service in the Army he graduated from Siena College on the GI Bill.

From 1953 to 1955 he served in the US Army. Thomas worked as a Tax Accountant for General Electric for 38 years retiring in 1989. He was a communicant of the former Our Lady of the Assumption Church and served on their financial board.

Thomas was predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years Rosemary Aldi Dorazio and his brother Frank (Elvira) Dorazio

He is survived by his daughters Donna (the late Bruce) Neal and Lisa Mell; his only grandson and the apple of his eye Derek Neal; his niece Patricia Dorazio and nephew Thomas (Louise) Dorazio

Thomas’ family would like to thank his two special aides Olive and Maureen for their care which allowed him to remain at home throughout his illness as well as Community Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 8:30- 10 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave. Rotterdam. His funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 210 Princetown Rd., Schenectady. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady.
