Rotterdam – Thomas E. Anderson, age 78, passed away on Monday, April 9th, 2018 with his family by his side at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Tom was born in Schenectady to his parents, the late Robert and Doris Anderson. After graduation from Draper High School, Tom enlisted in the US Navy where he served honorably from 1958-1977, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer E-7. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and travelling. Tom loved family time, especially family dinners and holidays. He was devoted to his dog, Candy whom he missed dearly. Tom was a longtime member of the Rotterdam Elks and the Naval Communication Organization. On November 7th, 1963, Tom married his wife Patricia Pasquariella Anderson whom he shared 54 years of marriage with. Besides his wife Patricia, Tom leaves behind his 3 daughters, Michele O’Brien (Jim), Tammie Santilli (Jeff Marsh) and Patti-Ann (Anderson) Fetter, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his siblings, Bob, Bill, Pat and Rosemary. A visitation will take place on Monday, April 16 from 8am-10am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Rd. Interment with military honors will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
