Theresa A. Russell

Theresa A. Russell passed away peacefully at the age of 100 at home on Monday, March 30,2026
surrounded by her family. She was born on July 22, 1925 to Francis & Marion (Grzybowski) Borowski in Rotterdam NY.
During her lifetime, she has demonstrated in countless ways her dedication and love to her family and friends. She was a home maker and enjoyed spending time at the camp, holidays with family, attending her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren school activities and sporting events. She was a member of the Guilderland Senior Needlepoint and RSVP groups where she crocheted and donated items to various charities for over 20 years and a communicant of the St. Madeleine Sophie Church for 78 years and a member of the prayer group. Theresa was an avid New York Yankee fan.
Predeceased in death by her husband Royal and daughter Linda and parents Francis and Marion Borowski. She is survived by her children Francis (Beverly), Diane McGroty (Hugo), Thomas, Richard, Joseph. Grandchildren Wendy (William Behler), Amy McGroty, Mathew, Mary and grandchildren Sean and Brooke Howlan, sisters Dolores Pryszmant and Sr. Mary Lucille. Predeceased in death by her sisters Genevieve Borowski, Emily Borowski, Irene Bubniak, Shirley Mlodzianowski, and brother Myron Borowski.
The family would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lori and The Community Hospice staff for the compassionate care they provided.
Funeral services are at the St. Madeleine Sophie Church on Carman Road in Guilderland from 10am to 12 pm, mass immediately following, on Thursday April 9, 2026.
