Theresa "Terry" Glenn

Theresa (Terry) Marie Glenn, 81, of Rotterdam passed away on Friday November 22nd at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Facility in Albany, New York following a long illness. Terry was born in Rensselaer on February 18, 1943, and graduated from Van Rensselaer High School. Terry was married to George E. Glenn for 52 years up until his death in February 2014.
She is survived by her son Marc, daughter in-law Mary and granddaughter Madison of Rotterdam. Also survived by her brother-in-law Michael C. Glenn (Caroline) of Schenectady and Marilyn Glenn, sister-in-law of Palm Harbor FL and her cousin Donald Hunt of Florida.

Terry and George had many memorable weekends boating on Lake George and attending New England Patriots football games. In later years they enjoyed relaxing in their second home in Florida. Terry was employed by the Pioneer Bank in Rotterdam for 29 years and was the Branch Manager and Assistant Treasurer at the time of her retirement. She was a past President of the Rotterdam Kiwanis where she became lifelong friends with Ed & Virginia Barkowski and Norm & Carol Seymour.  Her favorite times involved supporting her cherished Madison in her school, music and sports activities. She was very proud of her achievements.

Her extended family includes many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and the Guerra family. Terry's family appreciates the support of the many home aides and particularly the staff at Daughters of Sarah for their efforts in providing personal care and attention during her illness.

The family welcomes friends to pay their last respects at DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam on Sunday December 1st from the hours of 4 - 6 PM. A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3510 Carman Road Schenectady NY 12302 on Monday December 2nd at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Terry's memory are encouraged to support her favorite charity the Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Avenue Schenectady NY 12302.
