Theresa Donadio

SCHENECTADY - Theresa Donadio,92, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 8, 1931 to the late Augustine and Filomena Ferrara Santospirito. She was married on August 15, 1948 to the late Gregory A. Donadio, Sr for 63 years and together they raised 5 children.

Besides being the matriarch of the family, one of her many talents was her cooking.  She could turn simple ingredients into culinary masterpieces that brought everyone together around the dinner table.  Also, let’s not forget her impeccable housekeeping skills.  Her home was a haven of comfort and orderliness, a reflection of the care and attention she poured into every aspect of her life.

Theresa loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was a talented blackjack player and enjoyed many trips to the casinos. She was loved by everyone that ever met her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gregory A. Donadio Sr. her son Gregory A. Donadio Jr, brothers Joseph Bucci and Frank Fox and sister Mary Francis.

Theresa is survived by her 4 children, Linda(Richard)Tedisco, Sam(Dawn) Donadio, Darlene(David) Muscanell & Gary(Mahassti )Donadio. Her loving grandchildren Rick(Marybeth)Tedisco, Tana(Jon) Andrews, Kara Donadio, Vallee(Jeremy)Votaw, Shane(Jen)Caiazzo, Greggy and Ryan(Gabrielle)Donadio, Dina(Rebecca)Muscanell & Deann Muscanell.  Great grandchildren Jenn & Maria Tedisco, Dylan & Noah Leszczynski, Mason Nowak, Lily & Olivia Caiazzo, Marinna & Braydon Votaw, Isabella Donadio and the apple of her eye, Brody Donadio, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the A4 Ellis Hospital staff and to Dr Castellano and Dr Chan for all the care and compassion provided to Theresa.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 6th from 10 am-12 noon at the DeMarco -Stone Funeral Home on 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam followed by a funeral service at 12:30. She will then be interred at St Cyril’s Cemetery in Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send a memorial contribution to Community Hospice, 310 So. Manning Blvd, Albany 12208.
