Terry found rest on January 5, 2026 due to a rapid decline from sepsis caused by an ulcer. He was 64.
Terry was a lifelong resident of Altamont, living a quiet and peaceful life in spite of facing significant health challenges for many years. He never let his physical limitations dim his joy of life’s simple pleasures like spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brothers, Clifford (Linda), and William (Marianne); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Olive (nee Burke) VanAuken, and brothers, Robert (and wife Barbara), Al (and his wife Victoria) and Tommy.
A private Graveside Service will take place in the Spring, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland, NY.
He is finally at peace and will be forever loved and remembered.
