Teresa Regina Tagliapietra

Teresina “Teresa” Tagliapietra passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2026, at the age of 99, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 28, 1926 in Pordenone, Italy to Emilio Muccin and Emilia Canton.

Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Louis, and her brothers, Angelo and Gus Muccin. She is survived by her son, Bob (Andrea) and daughter, Janet Bracco (James); seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Teresa was a talented seamstress who worked for Traina-Norell in New York City. She also worked as a cook at Bishop Dubois and Cardinal Hayes High Schools in New York.

Known affectionately to everyone as "Grandma," her kindness and generosity were apparent to everyone she met. Teresa loved traveling, playing pinochle, and cherished spending time with family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at 10:45 AM, at Saint Barnabas Catholic Church, 409 East 241st Street, Bronx, NY 10470.

Interment will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in Teresa's memory to Saint Barnabas Catholic Church.
