Tammy was born on September 5, 1960 in Niskayuna. She was a lifelong resident of Schenectady County. She owned and operated a local busines, Lyle's Hoagies, with her late husband Keith McCormack who passed away on June 5, 2009. Tammy was also employed at theSchenectady City School District as a Human Resource Specialist. Tammy was a genuine, devoted mother and truly the heart and soul of her family. She was known as the "Neighborhood Mom" and was kind to everyone. Tammy had an exceptional work ethic and would never put herself before others. She faithfully cared for her two dogs, Trixie and Gus, and loved them to pieces. Tammy loved to cook and bake, read, and was an avid QVC shopper. She was a true family person who's favorite times were vacationing frequently to Disney with her family. She loved kids and treated every child as if they were her own. Tammy is survived by her parents, Jack and Francess Meany. She is also survived by her daughter Marie McCormack who resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and her son Brad McCormack and his fiancé Danielle Andriano of Rotterdam, her sister, Marion "Cookie" Gannon and her partner Mark Dyda of Phoenix Arizona, her brother Johnny and his wife Kathleen Meaney of Ballston Spa, her mother-in-law Gloria McCormack of Rotterdam and multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends and extended family. Sadly, Tammy's daughter Jessica passed away the same day. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Wednesday April17, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm.A Mass of Christian Burialwill be celebrated at 9am Thursday April 18, 2013at Kateri Takewitha Church on Rosa Road, Schenectady. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie. The family respectfully requests that donations be made to St Jude's Research Hospital and or the local ASPCA.
