Susan F Partington

Schenectady – Susan Frances Partington, 61, of Schenectady, passed away Tuesday May 4th, 2021 on her way for treatments in Boston. She passed away in Worcester, Massachusetts. Born in Schenectady on May 16, 1959, Susan had an exemplary 42 year career at Pioneer Bank at the Rotterdam and Watervliet branches. Being very community minded, Susan maintained a prestigious seat on the Pioneer “Making Change Committee” and reached out to younger people and funded many local events such as The Capital District Regional Food Bank, the Relay For Life, The Breast Cancer Walk, all events to promote Health, Wellness and Education. She was predeceased by her parents, Frances (Pochkar) Partington and James Partington. She is survived by her brothers James and Daniel (Patricia) Partington and her sister Janet (John) Jaster, seven nieces and nephews, two grandnieces and a grandnephew and her 20 year loving friend and partner, William Anderson. Calling hours will be held Friday May 14th from 4-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin 9:15 am Saturday at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Entombment will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DANA-FARBER Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts 02215-5450.
