Susan E Hamm

Susan E. Hamm, 55, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Utica, Susan was the daughter of the late Milton and Margaret Donovan Hamm. Susan graduated from Guilderland High School in 1980, and in 1982 graduated from Hudson Valley Community College. She worked in Civil Service for the Town of Guilderland, the Albany County Dept. of Social services and for over 20 years with the NYS Department of Tax and Finance in Albany. She enjoyed crocheting and was a loving and loyal supporter of her nieces and nephews musical and sporting events for many years. In addition to her parents, Susan was also predeceased by her brothers; James K. Hamm and Mark C. Hamm She is survived by her brother; Craig S. (Diane Wood) Hamm of Baltimore MD., her sister; Sharon (Donald) Marion of Guilderland , sister in law Ruth Ward (Frank Russo) of Albany, her beloved nieces and nephews; Nicholas (Shirley) Hamm, Christina (Joe) Stanley, John Hamm, Blayne Marion and Brynn Marion, as well as 5 great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-7 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk. (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, 12:30 pm at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd. in Guilderland. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Susan’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital CCU for their compassion and dedication during this difficult time.
