Susan K Dicamillo

April 11, 1947 — December 27, 2020

Susan K. DiCamillo, 73, returned to the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Charles B. and Alma King. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Marino, and children; James DiCamillo (Kimberlee), Patrick Marino, as well as Joey Marino, Dante Marino (Kellie) and Dina Biscione (Paul), and her granddaughters, Gianna Biscione and Amanda Marino. She is also survived by her brothers, Rev. Canon Charles King (Alice) and David King (Cara). Sue grew up in Rotterdam and attended Mohonasen High School and spent most of her life close to family in the Capital District. Sue was a resident of Guilderland, NY and an active member of of St. Boniface Episcopal Church for many years, including serving many terms as Warden of the Vestry, ushering, assisting with coffee hour and supporting numerous enhancement projects and fundraisers. Sue was also an extremely dedicated mother and devoted her life to raising and inspiring her children. She was curious, creative and fond of collecting things that brought her joy, traits she passed on to her sons Jim and Pat. She demonstrated her creativity through a variety of forms including creative writing, painting ceramics, making jewelry, needlework, gardening, and crafting highly detailed Christmas ornaments. She was also a talented baker and was well known for her oatmeal raisin cookies, and Danish. Her curiosity was best seen through her desire to try new projects and a deep love of reading all manner of books. Sue was well loved and well-respected by all who knew her and will be missed greatly. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Ellis Hospital for the expert care during difficult times. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2pm at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 5148 Western Ave., Guilderland, NY, 12084. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland. The family requests any donations be made in Susan’s name to St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 5148 Western Ave., Guilderland, NY, 12084.
