Princetown – Steven P. Loveland, 52, passed away on Friday March 23, 2018 at Albany Medical Center after a 2 year battle with leukemia, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was a graduate of Schalmont High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He was the son of the late O. Chadwick & Beverly Loveland. Steve was self employed and the owner/operator of Loveland Construction. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. If ever he did work for you, you might have found him eating dinner with you as well. He was well loved and always willing to help when asked. Steve had a love for children. He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Marina (DiCarlo) Loveland. Three siblings; Gary (Kim) Loveland of New Hampshire, David Loveland of Massachusetts and Lisa Pierre of New York. He was the brother-in-law to Silvia DiCarlo of Colonie and Emilia DiCarlo of Colonie. Son-in-law of Sante & Carmela DiCarlo of Colonie. Steve was also the uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with his parents, Steve was predeceased by his brother-in-law, John DiCarlo and his niece, Adriana Truesell. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7 pm. Burial in Viewland Cemetery will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 1 Marcus Blvd. #104, Albany, NY 12205 or the Dana - Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
