Schenectady- Stephen Pasquariello,95, at rest Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Stephen was born in Rotterdam, the son of the late Dominic and Marguerite Pasquariello. His employment at General Electric was interrupted by his service during WWII. Stephen served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He retired from General Electric in 1979 as a Shipper/Leader. Stephen was a longtime active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church. He also enjoyed carpentry and building and remodeling. In earlier years he pitched in the Schenectady Twilight League. He also umpired with the Schenectady Umpire Association, an organization he helped form. He also was an avid bowler who at the age of 90 still bowled on 4 different leagues each week. Stephen was the beloved husband of 73 years to Raffaela 'Rae' Fazzone Pasquariello; beloved father of Stephen (Sandra) Pasquariello, Karen (Edward) Hines, Ralph (Susan) Pasquariello; loving grandfather of Stephen, Scott, Jeffrey, James and the late Albert Joseph 'A.J.' Pasquariello. Rowland and Laurie Elwell, Mary Kollar, Joshua and Jason Pasquariello; beloved brother of Ralph (Kay) Pasquariello, Tony Pasquariello and the late Josephine Vitch, Dominic Pasquariello, Carmella Stomski, Angeline Willmon, John and Yolanda Pasquariello and Marie Durbak ;He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 30 from 3 to 5pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin Monday 10am at the funeral home, followed at 11am by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle,2733 Albany St., Schenectady. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, N.Y..
