Stephen Pasquariello, 84, of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 surrounded by his family. Stephen was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Giaquinto Pasquariello. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills High School.A carpenter by trade, Stephen worked for many years through the local carpenters union. He also owned and operated Outdoorsman Sporting Goods on Crane St. and the Gold Dust Lounge on Broadway. He was last employed as a supervisor at Campbell Plastics for ten years and before he retired. Following his retirement, he and Rita spent 15 winters in Florida. Stephen loved hunting, fishing and was dedicated to his family. In addition to his parents, Stephen was also predeceased by his beloved grandson, Michael Pasquariello, who died in 2012. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Rita Gates Pasquariello, four children; Dawn Pasquariello, Kim Hall, and Joseph (Theresa) Pasquariello, all of Rotterdam, and Stephen Pasquariello of Florida, five grandchildren; Jamie (Kevin) Corbett, Dylan Pasquariello, Anthony Savini, Janelle Phister and Julie Riccio, two great grandchildren, Kaelynn Provost and Kevin ProvostJr. and Bill Hart, who was like a son to him. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning, 10:30 at the funeral home with Fr. Richard Carlino officiating. Burial will follow at St's Cyril & Method Cemetery. Stephen's family would like to thank the entire staff at Glendale Nursing Home and Community Hospice of Schenectady for their compassion and attentive care during Stephen's illness.
