Sophie E Glowacki

Sophie E. Glowacki, 87,at rest, Monday, December 1, 2014. Sophie was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Dzuibeck. Early in her work career Sophie was employed with the MICA Co. in Schenectady, and was later employed for ten years as a clerk with the N.Y.S. Division of Taxation and Finance in Albany. A homemaker, Sophie was a communicant of the former St. Mary's Church in Schenectady and a member of the Rosary Society. Sophie was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Glowacki (1984); beloved mother of Patricia (Nick) Ragucci of Rotterdam and the late Carol Ann Beals and Rose Glowacki; loving grandmother of Nicholas Ragucci Jr., Patrick Ragucci, Michael and Deborah Beals, Stephanie Morin; loving great grandmother of Nicholas Ragucci III, Louisa and Eliana Ragucci, Jake and Rebecca Bolton, Sierra and Hunter Beals; beloved sister of the late Jane Croote, Gertrude Shambo, Marion Szymalack and Eve Fiminski. Sophie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A calling period will be held Thursday,December 4, from 9 to 11:15am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Those in attendance may follow in procession for a 12 noon Mass of Christian Burial at St., Luke's Church, 1235 State St., Schenectady. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam.
