Sharon A (Pollack) Tenace

Sharon A. Tenace, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Niskayuna, Sharon was the daughter of the late William and Petronella Pollack. Sharon worked as a waitress for many years at Valley's Steakhouse and later at Brandywine II. Her most recent position was at Walmart in Rotterdam. A natural caregiver, Sharon loved kids and would help anyone in need. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Pollack. Sharon leaves behind her son, Anthony W. Tenace (Doreen) and her grandson, Anthony Tenace, Jr. as well as her nieces, Sharee Knight and Billee Graham (John). She also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews and her K-9 companion, Gizmo. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9 from 11a-1pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be at 1pm. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. Donations in Sharon's name can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Ste. 204, Albany, NY 12205.
